Dirty Harrys

Brighton is literally one of the coolest places to waste days away exploring! Wondering aimlessly through the laines and adventuring in all the little hidden gem stores & arty boutiques was one of my favourite things to do; before enjoying a latte on the pier over looking the beach. Dirty Harrys is one store in Brighton in particular that is a crazy mix of old man jumpers and reto classics.. But without the brick lane price tag! I'm no longer in contact with the jumper as it's been stolen by my best friend but costing only £5 I will not lose any sleep over this thrift shop share! If you haven't been 'Dirty Harry's' is certainly worth a visit on a cute weekend getaway!

Outfit of a fair few days ago..

It is very rare that i get to actually spend quality time with this Lady which is bizarre seems we live together and she is my mum! We rarely pass on the hallway or we are passing ships in the night; its so nice to take a day out of work for a day and spend some time being wasted around a cute city, with lunch, a little bit of shopping & getting our nails did!

This was my outfit of that day. Bottoms up. Fishnet socks, Jelly Shoes, Black & Red checked Leggins, a parental advisory top, (Which i love since seeing the recent collections from Alexander Wang! See recent post!) a long checked blazer from River Island a few years back & my most favourite fur shawl; keyed with a statement necklace & Michael Kors Sunglasses!

 Comfort was Key today & it was a lovely one all round.

Kimono for the Kloset

 

This was a debatable purchase that I'm so glad i talked myself round to buying! Its the easier most chilled thing to wear, when you don't know what to wear! From H&M and costing £19.99 - for warmer weather its not to thick to tie with leg gins and a top and summery accessories. For beach days wearing it with swimwear or even with a jumpsuit and some heels to be dressed up for a night out. Such a good buy and the silk like material makes it look much more expensive and dressy than H&M thats for sure! Big fan of the Kimonos, now in need of a floor length for Ibiza beach days! Keeping my eyes peeled..

Pollock inspired cuties

Jackson Pollock, an artist i once studied could have painted these nails for me! Made up the most delicate sequins from the top coat of varnish from Essie the final outcome looked like a bunch of drips, splodges and polkadots! I liked it.

It's a dungarees day!

Today the sun was shining! So thought it would be an appropriate time to wear my first pair of 21st century dungarees that weren't purchased by my mum in the nineties for me to strut around in! These were an absolute steal and bagged them from Primarni in Manchester on a recent visit. Worn with a cute lace crop from Topshop & Glittery Jelly shoes & my new Jack Wills socks. Possibly the only thing  I've found in the shop that it worthwhile. opppss! As i walked out this morning my brother said 'You looks abit Jazzy' I like that. I feel like a child wearing dungarees and tied with the sun this makes me happy!

Its my absolute favourite at the moment & we are seeing it everywhere. The nineties neckline, from crops, to co-ordinate pieces & even swimwear. I love the not quite halter-neck not quite vest tops crops we are seeing and from my recent nights out you can see I'm a big fan. Wear these fun crazy coloured tops with some cute accessories and your set for summer!

Loving this new monochrome Hamilton that has reached our store this week! A classic trend that we are still seeing through to the summer with many key trends still focusing on the black & white block colours. Easy to wear classic! I like it.

When i saw these Henry Holland Sunglasses i fell in love. Ive always loved typography and text within fashion these were so quirky and eye-catching; I did not however fall in love with the price tag, at £120 a pair i knew i would have to do without. Until i came across Stone Fox and independently run online fashion store that sold copies of the sunglasses for £15.95 with postage and packing! As a consumer I'm not massive on big Brand names, unless its a bargain, so I'm always looking for a cheaper version. Or just generally finding gems in charity shops or brick lane style boutiques! Fabulous find. Stone Fox is a definite retailer that i will keep in mind. Here are a few pieces from their current collection!

As soon as i saw this collaboration Adidas X Farm i wanted to jump on that straight away! We have recently seen the collaboration pieces from adidas working with Topshop, which were everyones must have buy approaching into SS14. 

Farm Rio is a brazilian brand that is popular in Europe. Farm Rio's patten design work is exquisite; a little bit more original & exciting in comparison the to Topshop Collab ..and supporting a european designer into the british street scene is something i appreciate, so had to purchase one of these co-ordinate pieces over the Topshop pieces! 

Sorry Phillip Green, you still did good!

It made a first appearance at WE ARE FSTVL last weekend. Mainly down to the weather i didn't brave the jacket & shorts combo! It was beautiful sunshine all day, but i wasn't quite brave enough this time round. Perhaps Gottwood or High Definition!
