Shock Horror i picked a nice pink flouncy image for abit of Photoshop editing. I am focusing one of my mood board on 'Hot Fuzz' i love the coat styled in this photograph so this made it more than appropriate to use!
Ive got a feeling getting used to the shortcuts and software techniques on Photoshop will be a challenging process for me, leaving that aside i really enjoyed todays editing seminar. We focused on changing an images Luminosity, Halftone Pattern, Hue & Saturation, Replacing Colour & Duotone; deepening on a chosen colour from our colour palette.
Technique in Note form
- Luminosity
Create layer of
target colour UNDER the image on a separate layer, Convert the photo layer
above to Luminosity, New Blank layer, drag under photo, Use pipette tool too
fill the box with colour, Photo is sitting on top of photo you want to
match, covert on layer drop down
function, change from normal to luminosity.
- Halftone Pattern
Made up of the Colour plus
white, only RGB file so might have to change the mode, image, mode, convert to
RGB, select don’t merge, select target
colour & white for the two colour boxes at the bottom of toolkit, colour is
dominant, white is secondary - filter, filter gallery, sketch, halftone pattern,
select dot.
- Replace Colour
Go to image adjust, replace
colur, use the pipette to select the dominant colour, select the bulk of
dominant colour from the photo, Use fuzziness to select the appropriate amount
of colour, capture most of the colour.
- Duotone

Made up of colour and white,
brighter cleaner image, only available if you are on grayscale, image, mode,
moveto grayscale,don’t merge, discard,
have a grey image. Go mode, Duotone, make sure preset is at custom, make
a note of the CMYK/RBG colour, then print the colour with white on the image.
