Andy Warhol X William Morris

Love is Enough draws together iconic and rarely seen works by two giants of the 19th and 20th centuries. This unconventional combination of artists’ work is curated by Turner Prize-winning artist Jeremy Deller who cites Morris and Warhol as his two greatest artistic influences. - Modern Art Oxford

Lovely day with this one in Oxford spending too much money and exploring and catching up! We are such bad influences on each other but we have a giggle, she is a very good egg! I love Nottingham but am so thankful to have such people at home that i miss very much. Im lucky i have people that make saying goodbye hard.

"Art is anything you can get away with"
- Andy Warhol

This was particular favourite of mine that i took a sneaky photo of. No Photography was allowed which is understandable considering there were millions dollar Warhol pieces and William Morris tapestry draping down the walls. But as an art student, on finding out there is no photography allowed within an exhibition its always been seen as a challenge. Who can get the best image without getting caught. From Venice, to Barcelona and Berlin, this has alway stuck with me, now I'm not on an art trip, this concept has stuck with me. Crazy art kids. Anyway, back to the image. Layers of echoed colour really define the outline of Warhol's face. One particular aspect of the image, that surprislingly i loved was how glitter was embossed into the teal coloured background. The more 'Pop' and 'Fun' the better. Big Fan.

I also had my first ever burrito today! Probably won't be my last..

With Love, DOAFSDO, x
